San Diego coastal locations
For families who want a Pacific Ocean resting place, aerial scattering can provide a quiet and dignified alternative to a boat service. California law permits cremated remains to be scattered at sea by air, subject to the applicable disposition and filing requirements.
Under current California law, “at sea” includes qualifying navigable waters and requires scattering at least 500 yards from the shoreline. We plan each service around the applicable requirements in effect at the time of the dispersal.
Want to witness from shore?
Our standard service is generally scheduled around flight operations. If your family wants to be present at a specific time and place, ask about a dedicated flight so we can coordinate a practical viewing location from the ground.

If the family has a ranch, farm, family property, or another meaningful California location in mind, we can evaluate whether an aerial dispersal is feasible. Land scattering requires appropriate permission and must comply with applicable state and local rules.
Family property
Private land may be considered with written landowner permission and safe, legal access by air.
Other California destinations
We also consider Central Coast, mountain, foothill, and other meaningful locations based on flight time, airspace, terrain, weather, and permission requirements.
